One piece of advice for those about to venture abroad:

Keep an open mind! Don't be too quick to judge or to say no to new things. You may be of one culture, but that doesn't mean that it is the only one or the right one -- people have many different way os doing one simple thing. And don't get too frustrated when you can't understand or find yourself at a cultural clash, face it with laughter :)

I am currently studying abroad in Barcelona, and I love it! Every day I learn more about the culture, the languages, and myself. Studying abroad in a big city is quite exciting, especially a city as beautiful and alive as Barcelona -- a walk down the street in the district of l'Eixample is an art history tour, and wandering around in Barri Gótic is a living, breathing history lesson!
