This view was well fought for. Wanting to conquer this challenging hike that we heard of and only having a few hours of free time before the last ferry of the day left the island, we hustled down the crater of the volcano we hiked as a class. We crossed town, found the old petrol station we were looking for then ascended the rope that guided us up the steep cliff side. At the top the view was to die for, we could see all the way to the top of the crater we had just come from and the entire path that we took through town to get to this amazing view point. This photo was one of my favorites from that day. It shows grant looking of towards the mainland atop the grassy cliff that we hiked to.
