This is in the center of the town of Ixtlán in the Sierra Norte region of Oaxaca. The clock tower and the church behind me are dated very early on towards the beginning of Spanish colonialism. Catholicism continues to be the main religion in this town as is also true for the rest of Mexico and Latin America.
