Photo Contest

We would love to see your photos on the Aggies Abroad Network! We encourage you to add photos all year round, anytime. Towar

ds the end of each school year, however, we like to host a competition to distinguish and celebrate the best-of-the-best in study abroad photography!

Instructions and guidelines are below, but the gist: (1) Submit photos that were taken while on your 2011-2012 study abroad program, (2) vot

e for your favorites, and (3) win prizes and have your pictures featured around campus!

Who May Enter

Anyone who has participated in (or is currently participating on) a 2011-2012 UC Davis study abroad program (even if you already submitted photos for the summer contest last year)

What to Enter

You may post up to 5 study abroad photos for the 2012 contest.

IMPORTANT: when you upload your photo(s) there will be an option for 'tagging'; tag those photos you want in the contest as 'contest2012'

Themes

The photos you submit for the contest should capture an experience abroad and somehow represent the ideals of study abroad: (1) people & culture, (2) academic learning, (3) natural & urban landscapes, and (4) students having fun (and hopefully wearing your study abroad t-shirts!)

Guidelines and Instructions

1. Photos submitted for the contest must have been taken by you, while on your study abroad program (note: they can be from the host country or another location visited during the study abroad program)
2. When uploading photos you will have the option of including a title and location of where the photo was taken; please fill in this information
3. Again, you may post photos anytime (we love seeing where you've been and what you're doing!), but for those photos you want included in the 2012 UC Davis Study Abroad Photo Contest, all you need to do is tag your photos 'contest2012' (If, after uploading your photos, you have any questions about tagging, please contact studyabroad@ucdavis.edu)
4. Regarding the Photos: Please submit high resolution .jpgs of at least 2 megabytes (2048x1536 pixels), but less than 6 megabytes in file size.

Photo Submission Deadline

June 1, 2012

Picking A Winner

Once all photos are posted and tagged, the top submissions will be announced (as determined by a mixture of these factors: (1) popularity and commenting, (2) site traffic and analytics, and (3) EAC staff committee selection).
